Autonomous driving is one of the fastest growing and intriguing spaces at this present time. We at Harrison Clarke are working with one of the hottest start-ups within this space who are on a quest to revolutionize autonomous driving. The company are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to help them build and scale their platform ready for the global stage.
This is not your average autonomous driving company.
The Site Reliability Engineer will be required to have the following skills:
Experience working with Hadoop, Yarn, Spark administration, from an infrastructure and scaling perspective
Has good experience in this space and can help architect very large cluster
Be able to script and automate things in either Python, Java, Bash or Go
Firm understanding of infrastructure problems with scaling Hadoop services (HDFS namenode, datanode, Yarn, Zookeeper)
Experience in deploying/configuring Cloudera/HDP/core Apache Hadoop and related infrastructure
This role will require someone who comes from more of an operations background with a good level of scripting experience. In addition to this, you will be collaborating with a team of engineers therefore you will also have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
Coming from a place that puts and emphasis on running large Hadoop on-premise, rather than the in cloud unless they can apply their knowledge to on-premise.
